I attended Cardinal Dougherty HS with Rodney back in the 60's. I played football and he played in the band! I recall him as being a warm, gentle soul of good humor and strong character. Father Foster used to call him Rodney 'Sea-Breeze.' Being ever the 'character' himself I always remembered Rodney. I was thinking of him a week or so ago so I looked him up. Imagine my surprise as I found him almost immediately after all these years. Imagine the sadness I experienced to find that he was now gone, having passed away at the hands of some horrible person. I am in mourning for him and his family . . . and I want you all to know: those of us who knew Rodney will never forget him.
